Hide grew up in very big family full of younger siblings. Her parents weren't very educated growing up, but wanted differently for their oldest child. On the other hand, that's not what Hide wanted, she had dropped out of middle school due to bullying, she spent her learning days in her room, cluttered with mountains of many books. She loved to read, but didn't want her family to view her as some smart stuck up child so she took up a hobby of reading and collecting manga and anime merchandise and collectibles. With all the studying, reading, and collecting she still makes the most time being with her family at the dinner table and playing in their little garden behind their house. Her parents made her a deal, if she would finish school she could live her life anyway she choose, but if bullying got in the way of that promise she could call them for comfort.
